Climb the Summit, Unite the Team—OceanFlex’s 2025 Lijiang Adventure

From May 14th to 19th, 2025, the team of OceanFlex took a break from their busy schedules and embarked on an unforgettable journey to Lijiang, Yunnan. This high-altitude team-building trip, themed "Challenge Ourselves, Strengthen the Team," took us from the serene beauty of Dali’s Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake to the majestic peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We immersed ourselves in the solemnity of Tibetan Buddhist temples and were awestruck by the "Impression Lijiang" cultural performance. Over six days and five nights, we crossed mountains and seas, embraced the magnificence of nature and culture, and recharged our team with renewed energy.
First Stop: Dali—Where Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon Meet
On the first day, we strolled through the ancient streets of Dali, tracing the history of the Nanzhao Kingdom on its cobblestone paths. We sailed across the glistening Erhai Lake, where sunlight danced on the water like scattered silver, and ascended the "Oriental Santorini," where whitewashed buildings contrasted beautifully with the azure sky. Laughter and camaraderie filled every photo.
Ultimate Challenge: Conquering the 4,680m Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
The highlight of our trip—reaching the summit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Glacier Park! In the thin, oxygen-scarce air, we encouraged and supported each other, pushing through altitude challenges with sheer determination. Standing before ancient glaciers, exhaustion transformed into pride—this was not just an elevation milestone but a testament to our teamwork.
"4,680 meters—we did it!"
The "Impression Lijiang" open-air performance, staged against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountains, left us mesmerized. Its raw, ethnic dances and songs celebrated the vibrant diversity of local cultures.
Shangri-La: Tibetan Culture and Spiritual Awakening
In Shangri-La, we donned traditional Tibetan robes, savoring butter tea and tsampa (roasted barley flour), letting our taste buds embrace the flavors. We spun prayer wheels at Tibetan Buddhist temples, sending blessings for our families and colleagues.
Tiger Leaping Gorge: Nature’s Power Unleashed
At Tiger Leaping Gorge, we witnessed the roaring Yangtze River crashing through steep cliffs, humbled by the raw force of nature. The sheer grandeur left us in awe.
Recharged and Ready for the Future
This journey was more than a getaway—it was a chance to experience diverse cultures and landscapes, recharge our spirits, and shed daily fatigue. Together, we braved high altitudes, stood before millennia-old glaciers, and absorbed the richness of ethnic traditions. These shared moments of wonder and perseverance will fuel our collaboration, driving us to break new ground in our work.
